Day of Resting- Update
Morning Doct update: Tube out tomorrow morning (maybe earlier but probably tomorrow). Weaning off the morphine ... that part is hard to watch and hard to do since they still don't want him moving around too much yet. One more day of rest for Liam. Please pray hard today for the things to come tomorrow...pray that he stays stable and strong, swelling to be gone, withdrawl symptoms be minimal or gone, his eyes to see and ears to hear....Thank you friends! Praying Jesus for a complete healing amd miracle...believing it! Thank you Jesus

ReplyDeleteHello Kenrick family - I am a good friend of Chris and Dawn Regan and have following Liam's story and praying for him every day. I have a friend who's little boy contracted bacterial meningitis when he was about 6 months old, and I contacted her with your case, in case she had some words of advice. She did, and she also offered for me to give you her email (echobennett@gmail.com) Here is what she wrote:
ReplyDelete"Hello Shelly, I'm very sorry to hear of another child fighting bacterial meningitis. Unfortunantly, so many strains exist and every persons outcome and related problems are so different that what I went through with Gavin and what their little boy has aren't looking to be the same type or medical issues that I've endured. Sadly, the best advice I can give is for his parents to remain strong advocates for their child, do as much research as they can on his specific illness, and suggest and found knowledge to his doctors. With rare infectious disease, the info is sometimes the key to children leading more productive lives after surviving disease such as meningitis. You may also give them my email if you would like. As south dakotas Mom on Meningitis, helping other families dealing with this disease is part of our mission. Although it may be just emotional or experience based support, sometimes it helps families when they know that they aren't the only ones who have had to face this disease. My email is echobennett@gmail.com . Thanks Shelly and their family is in my thoughts and prayers for God to save this little boy. Echo"
