Holding Liam for the First Time
God did give us something good this morning...first thing when I got to Liam's room Liam wasn't in his bed Casey wasHOLDING him:) I got my turn next ...thank you Lord for that!! Physical therapy helped him sit up for 2 minutes (he wasnt a fan) and they will be back to do it again in a few hours...Liam is still very out of it and weak. Haven't talked with the doct yet this morning but here are the... prayer targets so far for today: Liam needs to breathe deeper...his Xrays this morning show he's not using all his lungs, please pray for the swelling to go down in his throat and for him to stay calm, and again for his eyes and ears to see and hear and for a clear and healthy mind.....Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness! Thank you for all you are doing and will do for our Liam! We love you.

Matt & Amber - It's my first time commenting on your site but not the first time I've read it or the first day I've been praying for you. I've been in that scary hospital room waiting for each tiny step forward to mean progress and the works of a God who can completely up-end whatever the doctors predict. If you've never heard our Lucy story, feel free to contact me via email and I'll share with you an amazing story of God's miraculous intervention when our little girl was born with a heart defect over three years ago. Know that I am praying for you, weeping with you, and here if you need to talk to someone who's been sort of where you are.
ReplyDeleteAnd one thing I learned through my experience was this: It is OK if today is not a good day. It is OK if you need to just not talk to anyone 'cause all your energy is going to being strong for him. It does not mean your faith is wavering if today this just stinks. Let yourselves know that.
Prayers for Liam and you both -

Thank you for the prayers. This blog is actually created for our good friends Sandy & Casey Kenrick and it is their son Liam. They check this site and really appreciate all the prayers!
DeleteI am so happy with all of the healing Liam is having and we will continue to pray for you both and for Liam everyday. I am not sure you remember me, but Leyton is in the 2's room with Liam at Open Bible and we have talked a few times. Leyton prays at least 4 times a day and every time he asks "Should we pray for Liam?" and he does... every time! I am often in tears for you three and praying multiples times a day for all of you. We will pray for complete healing and of course be praying for every prayer request you make for Liam. Thank you for being such an example with your faith. It has blessed me to be able to witness your continued faith in God while going through such a difficult and heartbreaking situation with a child. We will keep praying and praying and praying.
